7 Things in 7 Days Update!

So a couple of the things I wanted to do has been delayed a bit, but I'm still determined to get them done!

Things I need to do for the challenge

1.  Write a blog post about things I want to buy (so far) when my Project 10 Pan is over.
2.  Lose weight this week at Slimming World (have been going for 7 weeks so far and lost 1 stone)  :)
3.  Dye my hair (I've had the dye for ages!)
4.  Cook a proper meal (not just stuff you chuck in the oven) every day :)
5.  Brush the cat - she's malting like crazy right now
6.  Make a 40th Birthday card for a friend of mine
7.  Make a get well soon card for a family member

Here's how I'm doing so far...

1.  Not started yet... will do tho :)
2.  ACHIEVED!  Lost half a pound - not much, but it's off as opposed to on, so I'm happy :)
3.  Still need to do this!
4.  Still cooked homemade meals every day :)
5.  Haven't started
6.  Haven't started
7.  Really need to start :)

I'll do another update soon, and post photos of the cards I make :)

Broken Eyeshadow and Awesomeness!

Just a quick update on the Giveaway.

First off, amazing!!!! I honestly can't believe how much of a success it's been so far, I'll definitely be doing another one again soon ;)  So make sure you keep checking.

I've just ordered the replacement for the MUA Matte eyeshadow that broke, No.19 (if you've seen the video, you'll know it fell out of the bag and broke), and I've ordered a little something extra to add to the giveaway too :D

Any guesses what it is?

This isn't a hint by the way :)

7 Things in 7 Days

So I was reading the lovely Sprinkle of Glitter's blog the other day and she had this wonderful idea for other bloggers to get involved with, so I thought I'd get involved too, I could definitely do with the motivation!

The challenge is to come up with 7 things to do - now, I actually started this 2 days ago (but didn't get around to writing the blog post until now, I know, I'm terrible!), so here's my 7 things :)

7 Things

2.  We'll find out Wednesday
3.  Screw it, I'll do this tonight!
4.  So far I've cooked a meal every day (today was homemade bean chilli, yesterday was seared chopped leeks and cherry tomatoes with crushed garlic, quorn fillets and new potatoes) nom!
5.  Haven't started
6.  Haven't started
7.  Really need to start :)

I'll update my progress regularly - this has to be over by the end of the month :)

Thank you Mrs Glitter for a great idea!

Project 10 Pan - UPDATE

Hey everyone, hope you're having a great Sunday :)

I wanted to give you a quick update on my P-10-P as a couple of items have already run out, I know, crazy!

So the first item that ran out is my Urban Decay Skyscraper Mascara.
This I knew probably didn't have much left, I just didn't realise how little.  There's still a bit of product in there, but it's so dry you can't really get anything out of it.  So, that's that one done :)

Second item that's now done is the Chanel liquid eye liner.  Now I had no idea how much was left with this one, and now I'm really glad I had a spare :)

So that's those two done, yay!  I'm also going to swap an item out.

I'm swapping out my Chanel blusher - I really shouldn't have ever put this one in, I haven't hit pan on it yet, which I should have for it to be included in this really :)  So I've swapped that out, and I'm adding in another mascara!  At the moment I've just got my Maybelline The Falsies Flared in it, now I'm adding in it's sister, Maybelline The Falsies.  This I've had for a while and I'm sure won't take much using up :)

Chanel Blusher in English Rose is out

Maybelline The Falsies is in

Quick Update on some of the others

Estee Lauder Double Wear - I'm finding it really hard to get through this, there's about half left, but it's making me breakout :(  And requires quite a lot of maintenance as it cracks/moves etc, I'll be glad when this is gone!  The Chanel face powder I'm using every day, although I think it's a shade darker than I actually am at the mo, so it's hard to use, but I'm using it every day :)  I think the Green Urban Decay eye shadow is going to take a while to use up, I think I'm just going to have to live in that colour for a while :)

Don't forget to enter my giveaway :)
Have you ever done a Project 10 Pan?  How long did it take you?

Complaint Part 2 - My 1 hr Consultation with Chanel

So today was my free 1 hour consultation with the lovely Jess at Chanel here in Cardiff.  Before I go in depth, it was awesome!  Jess was lovely, as were all the staff there, really friendly, not patronising or clicky as you often find at these type of places.  I love, love, love what Jess did with my makeup - I pretty much gave her free reign to do what she wanted - the only stipulation was no extremes (so I didn't want 'the natural look' or like I was about to hit the clubs).  What I really loved, is that she used colours I wouldn't normally use, and she really made them work.

Jess used the new Chanel quad out called Éclosion -

it's a beautiful quad with a sort of berry/red wine/burgundy colour, this is the colour I wouldn't normally wear, but she used it in the crease, and beautifully.  One of the highlights of the makeup she did, for me, was the eye liner.  She winged it differently than I normally would and I loved it - it was very classic and something I'm going to try to master myself :)  As soon as I'm done with Project 10 Pan, I'm going to purchase this straight away - my only hope is that they still sell it when I'm done :S

These are all the products she used
Base - Le blanc de chanel
Concealer - Perfection lumiere 20
Foundation - Vitalumiere Aqua (20)
Powder - Loose clair
(no bronzer)
Eyebrows - Eclosion and Le Sourail de chanel
Eye Liner - Stilo yeux noir and liquid eyeliner
Mascara - Base / Sublime Noir
Lip Colour - Rouge Coco Shine - Boy
Blusher - Rose ecrin

Jess, if you're reading this - thank you.  I love what you did, and as always, love all the products :)  And thanks to Chanel for offering me this opportunity - like I said, sometimes it pays to complain :)

YSL Touche Eclat Foundation

Yep you heard it!  I'm sure a lot of you have already read about this, but just in case you haven't, I thought I'd do a quick post on it.

(photo courtesy of the fabulous British Beauty Blogger)

YSL (Yves Saint Laurent) are releasing a foundation version of their famous Touche Eclat - one of the best selling makeup products of all time (the best selling concealer of all time).  They've been making Touche Eclat for 20 years now, and they're putting all that fabulous technology into a new foundation - this will be one to try!

From everything I've read, it's medium coverage at best, but provides a beautiful luminosity and dewey finish.  Sounds like it's right up my street!  It's going to be released in 22 shades, so there should be no issue in being able to find a near perfect skin tone match, double yay!

It's going to be released here in the UK on 9th July and should retail for £28 (source FleurDeForce)

Will you be rushing out to try this on the 8th July?

New love - Ginvera BB Cream

Hey everyone!  Going back to my June SheSaid beauty box the gift in it was a sample of Ginvera Green Tea Nude Cover BB Cream, what a mouthful! I was initally really disappointed that it was just a sachet, I thought there'll only be enough in there for 1 use, so why bother?  terribly negative I know!  However, it lasted me nearly a week!  A little really went a long way... and I loved it so much, I went and bought a full size one for £16 (I had £4 using a voucher code from my Beauty Box) :) (first time I've made a full size purchase from a beauty box too)

This, at least for the moment, has replaced my Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua foundation as my go-to foundation, who'd have thought it!

It has great coverage that you can layer/build up really easily without it getting cakey.  It looks really natural on, and gives the same level of cover as the Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua, but without it being yellowey (is that even a word???) It's also got SPF30 in it, so extra protection for those harmful UV rays too.  Just wanted to share this with you as I'm really loving it right now :)  I've also had lots of compliments on my skin since I started using this, coincidence?

I seriously can't say enough positive things about this, it's a product I'll definitely be re-purchasing even without the discount, just can't wait to see what they do next :)

Project 10 Pan (P10P)

Hey everyone!  So I'm finally getting around to doing a project 10 pan! yay!  I'm so excited, I've been thinking about doing this for a while, and today I thought, today's the day.
I selected this post to be featured on my blog’s page at Make Up Blogs.

So, I've picked my 10 items (listed below) and I'll be doing updated either every other week or once a month to see how I'm getting on.  The 2 things which I think are going to be the hardest (as I'm now not allowed to buy anything until all these are used up) is not being able to replace my concealer when its gone (I have no other concealer, yeah, not great planning I know!) and not being able to replace my Primer potion... that rule I may have to be flexible with, we'll have to see what runs out first!  I have no backup for the primer, and that's something I really need.  The concealer I could live without, but not the primer, we'll see how it goes :)

My Picks

Estee Lauder Double Wear foundation

Chanel Face Powder

Chanel Blusher in English Rose

Urban Decay Eye Shadow Single in Mildew

Benefit Boi-ing Concealer

Maybelline the Falsies Flared Mascara

Urban Decay Mascara (skyscraper)

Benefit Dandylion blusher

Chanel Liquid Eye Liner

Urban Decay Eye Shadow Primer Potion

So that's my P10P, I'll keep you updated on how I do, wish me luck!
