Brand Introduction & Discount | Heathcote & Ivory

Heathcote & Ivory brand introduction

Until very recently, I'd never heard of Heathcote & Ivory (think Cath Kidston).  The generous people over at Heathcote & Ivory sent me a few things as a sample of their collection - what I didn't expect was everything that arrived!  Since this is going to be quite an image heavy post, I'm just going to jump right in to introduce the brand to you.

If you're a fan of vintage styles and shabby chic, then I think you're going to like this post.  First up, this lovely heart shaped 'secret paradise' soap tin - I wish I had smellyvision for you here because it smells gorgeous! It's definitely floral, but sweet too, and absolutely gorgeous scent - I usually use liquid soap, so now I need a nice soap dish for this, for the bathroom :) You can pick that up for £5 online.
Heathcote & Ivory Secret Paradise heart shaped soap

Beautifully packaged and designed, this is a generous sized body lotion filled with the soft scent of lemon, lime and orange.  One thing I like about Heathcote & Ivory products is that they're free from parabens and sulphates.  So many of these items would really help to decorate a bathroom too, or better yet a guest bathroom, or downstairs loo!  They'd also make lovely presents - perhaps you could stock up now for Christmas with my 20% discount (code at the bottom of the post)?

Beau Jardin body lotion

This really would make a gorgeous gift - the tin itself is definitely worth keeping (the front of the tin is in the picture at the top of the page).  Inside you get a large hand cream (100ml), a 50ml body butter and a gorgeous bar of soap with a wax seal on - all smelling the same as the heart shaped soap at the top - basically smelling very yummy!  I've used the body butter already and can confirm, it feels pretty luxurious, as well as leaving your skin smelling very feminine and delicate (I adore the scent!).

Secret Paradise bath and body gift set

This would definitely look gorgeous anywhere in the house.  It comes with a soft pink shower puff, a bath & shower gel, hand cream and a body cream - all 50ml.  The body cream also contains shea butter, glycerine and vitamin e to help keep your skin soft.

One of my favourites for packaging now is their William Morris (Morris & Co) lotion collection (£14) - when I was at college studying Art & Design, we really focussed on the work of William Morris for repeat surface pattern design - so when I saw this it brought back lots of happy memories from many years ago! William Morris (sorry, lecture here!) was a big part of the British Arts & Crafts movement, creating lovely designs for wallpaper etc.  Anyway, I digress!  These remind me (in the style of packaging) of the Crabtree & Evelyn hand creams, but in my opinion, more beautiful.

Next up - part of the Heathcote & Ivory Vintage Collection - we have the Bathtime House Mimosa & Pomegranate set (£7) - these have a more softer, delicate fragrance than the Secret Paradise range near the top of the page but are equally as beautiful.  I have to say, the shower gel bottle is one I'll probably keep after it's empty and I might fill with bath salts and just keep to look pretty :)

Then, the product on the right is their Vintage Collection hand care tin (£8) with a large nail file (how cute is that nail file!?) - you get 50g of hand cream, and the nail file, and the tin of course - as for re-purposing the tin - I can see this as a great place for nail varnishes (especially with the window to see what's inside), or even nail wraps, or a nail art kit - I'm sure the brushes would fit really well in there (that's given me inspiration actually!).

How adorable! A set of guest soaps!  Ok, so this might be more suited to someone with a spare room or two who has people to stay over now and then - you could put these on their bed when the come to stay, or put them in the bathroom so it's all fancy :)  Beautifully designed, each of the soaps is packaged in Vintage style print, again part of their Vintage Collection.  There's two scents in the range, mimosa & pomegranate and rose.  The set costs £8, making it just £1 per soap :)

So there you have it, a brand introduction to Heathcote & Ivory.  If you're fans of vintage era products and design, please take a look at their site, they have some really gorgeous pieces (I'm clearly a fan of their William Morris collection!).  They've also given me a discount code for 20% off - this is valid until 31st March 2015, and excludes sale items and Cath Kidston.  To use the code, just enter makeup20 when you're at the checkout :)
