NO COATS
ONE COAT
TWO COATS
The latest Benefit product to be getting lots of hype, partly due to an innovative release, is their new mascara, Rollerlash. The launch was in association with Elle magazine - they had small, sample size mascaras with each one, ahead of it being available to purchase.
As you can see from the pictures, it's a fantastic mascara, my lashes have more volume, are longer and more defined - what a difference between no coats and two coats! The formula really reminds me of They're Real - the way I can tell, with They're Real, if I wear it on top and bottom lashes, and squish my eyes together, my lashes almost stick together for a second, and it happens with this one too. The way it's different is in the brush, it's smaller rubbery bristles and curved on one side to fit around the lashes well.
If you're not careful, it is easy to apply too much of the product, resulting in very thick lashes, it's not a look I like on me, so I'm careful not to apply too much product - so remember, less is more when it comes to this :)
I do prefer this to They're Real, I'm not sure if it's my imagination, but I do find it easier to remove (They're Real is seriously stubborn to take off!), I'm definitely a fan of this mascara, I like the wand, I like the formula, and I LOVE the lashes it gives me - just look at my lashes in the two coats pic, they look fab and not over done, well done Benefit!
I really like this mascara as well, the brush is fantastic! Like you said, less is more, I also found that if I try to apply too many coats my lashes end up looking too thick and clumpy. x

I agree that it's easy to over do it with this mascara, the first time I used it I went a little OTT haha. I do love this mascara though.

I really have been impressed with it :)
ReplyDeleteAh that's not good :/ But then I'm guessing, if you have redic long lashes, you don't necessarily need a mascara like this :)
ReplyDeleteYeah me too - I had full on spider lashes and was like.. hmmm... lets try this again, without going cray cray!
ReplyDeleteYeah - less is most definitely more with this :)
ReplyDeleteIt makes a really big difference doesn't it :D
ReplyDeleteYeah I found it hard to get on with, I do prefer this :)

Georgeous eye makeup as always :-) I'm really liking this mascara too, I think it's a toned down, easier to remove version of They're Real xx

Thanks :) It really is good, it's just a bit easy to add too much :)
ReplyDeleteThanks - yeah they look lovely with just one coat :) Definitely easier to remove than They're Real, that stuff is a nightmare :P
ReplyDeleteIt really is good - I'm sure you'll love it :D
ReplyDeleteThanks lovely :) Yeah I completely agree - for me, it's better than They're Real :)
ReplyDeleteThey really do :) Thanks! This is so far, my favourite Benefit mascara :)
ReplyDeleteYeah you have to be careful with this not to apply too much - I have accidentally had spider lashes with this once through being over zealous :)
