My name is Helen and I love make up, hair, fashion, beauty, cooking, baking and crafts (oh and I manage to be a primary school teacher in my spare time). Generally I love being a GIRL! My blog focusses on reviewing products I have been drawn to on my shopping hauls and focusses on the positives (I am a glass half full kind of girl). I like to try products from all areas of the market, top end to supermarket value…I look for quality and results. Of course I have my favourite brands which I swear by but I am always open to suggestions, trying new things and being converted to a new ‘must buy’.

My passion for make-up and beauty is reflected in my blog and I always like to look my best. I have good product knowledge and ensure that I can always answer questions in detail to reflect my experience.

I'm Samantha and I study Psychology at university and I decided to start my beauty and fashion blog She's Looking at the Stars almost two years ago.  I started it as I have a huge love of shopping and felt that it might be a good way of showing people what I had bought and what I thought of different products.  If I'm honest, I read a lot more blogs than I did when I started at it has probably made my shopping habit worse!  But I love writing my blog and knowing that there are people out there that read it regularly makes me feel so happy.  I love animals and from time to time my pets make there way onto blog too.

Fantastic November advertisers

The other day I turned the spotlight on to my Biggest Pixi3 advertiser, Srslylou.  Well today it's all about my other lovely advertisers.

Amazing October Advertisers!

You may or may not have seen a couple of days ago I featured my Biggest Pixi3 advertiser, well, now it's time to turn my attention to the rest of my lovely advertisers.

Super September advertisers

This month has seen some really lovely people advertise on Makeup-Pixi3, and now it's time to turn the spotlight on to them and more to the point, for you to hopefully pay them a visit to see their lovely blogs :)

Shona is a wonderful young beauty blogger who's just had a lovely redesign of her blog, making it super pretty (you need to check this out!).  Taken from her 'About' page, Shona says:

"My name's Shona, I'm 16 and I live in the South East of England, just outside London. Beauty is my thing and this is where I talk about it! I'm a sucker for pretty packaging and I'm a big lover of lip products, I have an obsession with any balm stain/lip crayon like products!

Those stars that shine

Here we have the lovely Sarah from Scotland :) I've just seen that today she's posted my Autumn TAG on her blog (definitely have a read of that!).  Sarah's been blogging about beauty for just over a year now, with mostly great high street finds featured on her blog.  Here's what she say's about herself on her 'About' page:

Congrats Sarah!  Each month she writes a lovely variety of posts, from great reviews, like this recent one on the new Superdrug naturally radiant brightening balm (didn't even know about this!).  I really like how she's not afraid to say something negative about a product, or outright say it's rubbish, like her review on the Clinique CC cream (it's a good read!).

I am 23 nearly 24 (gosh I feel like I am getting old) I studied history of art at university and by my own admission am a bit of a geek!  Now I have finished  I am venturing into the world of "proper work" , what to do is the big question hanging over my head at the moment, but the one thing I do know is that whatever happens my blog will hopefully continue to grow and prosper.

I like blogs, mine is my little piece of the internet to express my likes, dislikes and little adventures. The majority of it is a muddle of beauty reviews, recipes and the odd party, excursion or project.

I am a bit of a beauty junkie and am always in search of the perfect product, but I also love to cook. Cooking is my happy time, when you produce that perfect dish that everyone loves it's a great feeling. July Biggest Pixi3 advertiser

This is probably the most humbling blog I've had the honor of advertising with me.  Life is Worth the Fight is written by Stacie who's currently waiting for a heart and lung transplant.  Stacie writes a candid account on what it's like to be on a transplant list, in a really honest and down to earth way.  What's more, this down to earth writing she's been doing has earned her a well deserved place on the short list for the Cosmo blog awards! Amazing!

{On a side note, here in Wales they've recently (in the last couple of weeks) changed being an organ donor to an 'opt out' so if you live in Wales, you're automatically signed up to be an organ donor, and if you're not happy with that, you just need to opt out of the scheme}

Here's some of Stacie's blogging highlights over the last few weeks.

Stacie talks about the insane amount of books she managed to read in a week (10!) and more to the point, she reviews a few of the books she's read, so if you're into books, head over and take a look at her post here.

June Biggest Pixi3 advertiser

This months Biggest Pixi3 advertiser is the lovely Shang from The Feminine Crusade.  She's been featured in iFabbo's top 50 international bloggers to watch and guest blogged over at LookFantastic.

June has seen Shang review makeup like the MUA Undressed palette, the Benefit Dandylion lip gloss, MAC's Please me and an Illamasqua haul amongst other goodies :)  Aside from that, she's also written some skincare posts and a sunglasses wishlist post to name but a few.

May Biggest Pixi3 advertiser

Each month I do two advertiser posts, one is dedicated to my biggest pixi3 advertiser, and the other is dedicated to my big pixi3 and middle pixi3 advertisers :)  Today is the first of those two :)

I'd like to introduce to you Laura from A Scottish Lass.  Through blogging Laura and I have become good friends, so it makes me really happy to have her as part of the Pixi3 advertising family :)  Here's been some of the highlights from her blog over the past month ;)

I love these kind of posts, they're like little snapshots of someone's life, even if it's just what they've chosen to put on their face :)  In this pic I'm most envious of the Soliel tan de Chanel - I seriously want this in my life, especially as a die hard Chanel makeup fan :)

More items for me to crave over, the Lime Crime velvetines - these I need in my life, I think a matte red lip looks stunning :)  If you check out her post here, Laura has put together some beautiful face charts too using the lippies ;)

I loved the photo's Laura took for this post, a bit cheeky :)  I didn't really get on with this foundation when I used it, so it was lovely to see that it worked for Laura :)  I'm not sure 'bad foundations' exist, they just work for different people :)  You can read Laura's review here.

Wonderful April Biggest-Pixi3 advertiser

Today it's all about the lovely Laurie from A Scottish Lass.  She's been my Biggest-Pixi3 advertiser for April (she's also got a MAC milestone giveaway that she's just launched) :)

Over April there have been 2 posts in particular that I've really enjoyed of Laurie's.  The first is a lifestyle post about when she went to see Emeli Sande - she took some really beautiful photo's of the concert, here's a teaser for you, and my personal favourite photo :)

Next post I loved was on her 30 by 30 plan - Laurie turns 30 later this year and has set a bunch of goals to achieve, some of which sound amazing :)

I must admit, the one I'm most jealous about is visiting New York.  Hubby and I went there for our honeymoon and I completely fell in love with the city, I've been dying to go back ever since, it's still a plan of ours to go back, and for longer than 3 days which is all we managed the first time, so well done on booking it Laurie, you're going to love it!

I love number 24 too, I think every woman should have a signature lipstick and perfume :)

Amazing March Advertisers
