Beauty Crowd wish list

Beauty Crowd wishlist
Milani illuminating powder £8 // Little Ondine nail polish in shades Waltz, Pop Rocks and Morning Glory £9 for glitter, £7.80 for cream // Milani eye tech liquid liner £7 // LA Girl pro concealer £5 // Milani easy liner for lips in Most Natural £4 // LA Girl USA Brick Eye shadow in Ultra £6 // Milani baked blusher in Berry Amore £6 // Milani Fierce Foil eyeliner in Black Gold £7

After hearing a rumour that Beauty Crowd stock Milani, I swiftly headed there and filled up a shopping basket.  Then I saw a cute little ad for some nail polish, clicked onto that and swiftly found myself filling my basket with Little Ondine nail polish.  Then I remembered seeing Beauty Crowd share some images of their LA Girl makeup lines, specifically some lovely eye shadow palettes that I immediately started lusting after, and subsequently adding to my virtual basket.  At that point I realised I'd put far too much into my basket and had trouble narrowing it down - so I thought I'd create a bit of a wishlist in the hope that it'd help me decide what to pick :)

If I did buy everything I'd picked, that'd be a whopping £68.80 - I was hoping to keep it to £15 as part of my £15 High Street Challenge - for the challenge I aim for 3 pieces too - which would you pick?

Autumn Mrs Pharmacy Wishlist

Mrs Pharmacy wishlist
Seeing as it's Autumn and I'm skint thanks to spending all my spare money on buying baby stuff, I thought this would be a good time to create a wishlist of some Autumnal makeup goodness.

1.  Clarins Rouge Eclat lipstick - £18.50
Any of their more berry-toned lipsticks would have made it onto the list, colours that are perfect for Autumn.  I'm a fan of Clarins makeup (as you probably know) but have never tried any of their lipsticks, but I can only imagine they're amazing, if the rest of their makeup is anything to go on.

2.  Mavala nail polish in shade Glasgow - £3.80
I've tried a couple of Mavala nail polishes in the past and I was really impressed with the quality - both the pigmentation and staying power.  This shade is perfect for Autumn and to accompany the other pieces I picked out.

3.  Clarins eye quartet in Violet - £31.00
After sampling Clarins eye shadows I can vouch for their quality.  Purple is also my favourite colour and love to wear it on my eyes.  The deep dark shade on the bottom left is stunning, imagine that paired with strong eyeliner and big lashes, lovely :)

4.  Lancome ombre hypnose eye shadow in violet divin - £18.50
Notice a theme here? Yeah, another deep purple eye shadow - this I'd smoke out with a dark colour on the outer v and under the eye for a really dramatic look.  The only Lancome makeup I've tried is the Hypnose Star mascara, which I loved!  I'm not sure if I loved the mascara or the packaging more, but both were great :)

So there you have my Mrs Pharmacy wishlist, what would be on yours?

Neal's yard wishlist

Neal's yard wishlist
Neal's yard is a brand I've never really given much thought to.  I knew they were about, that people loved them, and that we have a store here in Cardiff, but to me they didn't excite me.

But, on my boss's last day before she started her maternity leave she found a bottle of the Bee Lovely hand cream in her desk and gave it to me.  I have to say, I've been mega impressed with it!  It's really hydrating, creamy, thick, and since it's oil based the little residue left helps hydrate your skin for longer (but without leaving you with oily hands).

Then a couple of days later another colleague came in with a big bottle of Neal's yard shampoo (apparently it's her all time fav!) and she raved about it.  This got me thinking :)

Since my eczema breakout after the horrifying Yes to Cucumbers face wipes debacle, I've been craving good quality skincare, that's what has led me here, to Neal's yard.  After spending some time browsing their site, I found I had loads of tabs open and I'd created a wishlist without realising it - so I thought I'd screenshot them and share them with you :)

1. Wild rose beauty balm (sounds amazing!!!!) £37 - my face needs some TLC right now :/
2. Beauty sleep concentrate £31.50 - not getting much sleep at the moment so this would be lovely!
3. Power berry daily moisture £23.75 - my face salivates at the thought of this :P
4. Bee lovely bath & shower gel £14 - if this is as nice as the hand cream, I'd be awesome!
5. Frankincense & mandarin body polish £17 - body polishes are my favourite shower product!
6. Bee lovely honey soap £3 - honey soap & scents are some of my favourites, love the emboss too!
7. Mothers balm £19.75 - what all mums-to-be can do with, skin tightening & stretch-mark reducing :)

So that's my wishlist - would you recommend any of these products to me?  Or do you have a different Neal's yard recommendation?

Homeware wishlist #1

homewares wishlist
1 | 2 | 3 | 4

We're in the process of re-furnishing our lounge, not fully, but we've bought a new sofa (super excited!) from DFS (pic below) and we're going to be moving the computer desk back downstairs into the lounge, and getting rid of our armchair.  In it's place we'll be putting in a bookcase, and in front of that I'm thinking about putting a bean bag for an extra seat.

DFS Martina sofa

Our... end tables?  Or whatever you want to call them - they sit either side of the sofa and we put our cups on them... anyway, they're really light wood, they're the IKEA lack tables, they won't go with the new sofa as they're too light, so we need some new ones.  All of this has resulted in me drooling over a lot of home furnishings online and making a bit of a wish list :)

1.  Cotton chair bean bag £59.99 from greatbeanbags.com - it's nice, neutral and would go great in my lounge with the new sofa :)
2.  Stanton tall dark shelves £275 from Next.co.uk.  Perfect for going next to the new sofa to house lots of our books that we'll be moving down from the spare room - plus with a cupboard at the bottom.
3.  Barlow nest of tables £125 from Next.co.uk - these would be perfect for either side of the sofa for us to put our cups on etc.
4.  Grey and red union jack bean bag £49.99 from rucomfybeanbags.co.uk, I think this would add a lovely splash of colour to the room

So that's my first homewares wishlist, what do you think?  Would you buy any of these?

September wishlist

Happy Wednesday everyone!  So, I decided to start a monthly wishlist feature, this will just be me posting a few things that I'm lusting after and might well purchase in the following month :)  So, for now, here's my September wishlist.
** How cute is this picture! I love PicMonkey's new back to school tools **

So there's a couple of things which are either under my radar at the moment, or things that need replacing and these are the ones at the top of my list.

First up, Chanel creme blush, yes, they're doing a creme blush in their Autumn collection!  How amazing is that!  I'm really into creme blushers at the moment, I love how if they're applied with a brush (I use the RT Stippling brush) they give a beautiful, almost airbrushed look.  I'm also in love with this shade called 'Fantastic', I think it'll be perfect for Autumn, which I literally cannot wait for!  This is a guaranteed purchase.

Next up my Bioderma, I need to replace mine, I'm half way through it and darent be without it!  Luckily (you may not know this), Escentual.com are actually based here in Cardiff, they have a pharmacy here, and if I order online, I can get free delivery if I choose to collect from the pharmacy, awesome! They also sell Daniel Sandler in there, which reminds me, I really want to try his watercolour blusher too (I have a thing for blushers, can you tell?).

And finally, the Estee Lauder Gelee blusher.  This caught my eye when I was in Boots a few weeks ago, I don't even know if they still do it, but it really stuck in my mind.  I wouldn't be surprised if it's the exact same formulation than every other blusher they make, but the name makes it sound so intriguing, which means its secured a place on my September wishlist.  It's £30 too, so not cheap, I just hope the Chanel one isn't a silly price like their Spring stripy blusher was (nearly £45!!!).

What's on your September wishlist?
