Revlon Lip Butter: Candy Apple

The lovely divine Laura from A Scottish Lass was super sweet and send me some Birthday presents last month and this little baby was one of them :)  Thank you Laura!

It looks a lot darker than it is in this picture, it's not really that dark ;)

My Thoughts

It's no secret that I'm a great fan of the Revlon Lip Butters, Lollipop being my favourite colour :)  The quality of this is exactly what you'd expect from those who've come to know and love the Revlon lip butters, it's buttery soft with decent pigmentation and lasts pretty well.

What I like most about this colour is that it's not to OTT, it adds a nice balanced splash of colour and hydration to your lips without overdoing it - perfect for the day/work :)

I know not everyone is a fan of the lip butters but I really like them and this is a lovely addition to my growing collection, welcome number 5 :)

What's your favourite lip butter shade?

Revlon Lip Butters - they're finally here in the UK!!!

Guys guys guys, I'm super excited!!! I've been searching and searching for the lip butters for days / weeks now, and after reading up about other girls who've managed to get places like Superdrug to sell them to them before being showcased I thought I'd try my luck at my local superdrug too, and boy am I glad I did!!!

So, I'll cut to the chase, I bought 4 awesome colours!!! Lollipop, Creme Brulee, Cupcake and

Strawberry Shortcake - Lollipop is definitely my favourite, I'm actually wearing it as we speak I love it so much!

All of the colours are gorgeous - and I'm pretty sure I will wear them to death :p

As for the consistency they are exactly as we've all watched and read about - a balm, a lipstick, a gloss - all rolled into one - they have a lovely finish on them and they all have different qualities, some are more matt than others, some have glitter, some don't etc, but ultimately what brings them all together, is their pure awesomeness! They are so wearable, and for what they are, I'm happy with how well they last. I've been wearing the Lollipop colour now for about 3 hours, I've
had 1 cup of tea (which quite a bit of lipstick was left on the cup), but my lips still look well covered and I haven't had to re-apply.

Here's some swatches for you :)

I believe Superdrug will be having an offer on them which will be 2 for £9.99, they wern't on offer for me, I paid £7.99 for each of them, which is about $10 each - so quite a lot, but on offer they'll be a great deal :) I paid it anyway as I really wanted them :)

So all in all, very very happy and impressed - well done Revlon - I'm so glad I've re-discovered you :)

Revlon Lip Butters

Ok so I know this is old-hat for our friends over the pond in the USA, but we don't have these here in the UK yet.

I've contacted Revlon, and they're being launched in March, which is any time from 2 days time and the next 4 weeks.

To say I'm excited, doesn't quite cut it! I feel like I've been waiting for these forever, and hopefully in about 1 weeks time they'll finally be here! Roll on March!

So, just in case you're as excited as me, here's some info on what to expect.

Assuming they'll be launched with the same range of colours and names as the US, they'll be launching with 20 different colours, 20!!!!! That's a really amazing range of colours which I'm super impressed with. Here's a list of the colours

Pink Truffle, Sugar Frosting, Raspberry Pie, Tutti Frutti, Brown Sugar, Peach Parfait, Fig Jam, Candy Apple, Red Velvet, Cotton Candy, Berry Smoothie, Cupcake, Gumdrop, Creamsicle, Cherry Tart, Lollipop, Strawberry Shortcake, Sugar Plum, Sweet Tart and Crème Brulee.

What Revlon say "Buttery balm with beautiful shiny color to give you baby soft, healthy glowing lips - 94% of women felt lips were softer, smoother, and instantly hydrated."

These come in the typical Revlon packaging which is cases to match the colour of the product, similar to Maybelline with the Colour Sensational lipsticks too. They also have the same diamond pillow effect on them which has become a signature of Revlon. These also have see-through tops so you can accurately see the colour of the product inside (just in case you have a few and you've put the wrong lid on) :)

The lip butters are a cross combination of a lip balm, with the colour strength of a lipstick and a lipstick form, whilst having a sheen similar to a gloss.

All I can say is, BRING ON MARCH!!!!!
