Natural sea sponge

Natural sea sponge
Large natural sea sponge c/o thespongemarket.co.uk £15.50*

While I have always lusted after natural sea sponges, until now I'd never actually owned one myself. I've been using this one for a good few weeks now, and apart from it looking lovely in my new bathroom on the windowsill, it's also the softest sponge I've ever used, easily soft enough for a baby's skin too.

This one is the 5 - 5.5 inch size which is perfect for an adult too.  Once they're wet under the shower they soften up immediately too, and in the time that I've been using it, I haven't found that it holds on to the soap deep in the sponge, which is something I find artificial sponges can do (build up a core of soapyness).

These sponges are ethically sourced from sustainable sources, 100% natural and are naturally anti bacterial and pretty affordable too.

Mine has replaced my previous Clarins body brush, which I'm keeping on hand for those times when your skin feels a little rough and needs a buffing, but this is now my go-to sponge :)

  1. I have been seeing this on blogs and it sounds wonderful. The price is a little steep for a sea sponge though, will have to think about this.
