A few weeks ago I treated myself to a high end purchase and after MUCH deliberation, I decided (and by decided I mean found myself buying it without any intention of doing so) to get the YSL Touche Eclat foundation, whoop!
I went into Boots and was actually just browsing and feeling a little like a Magpie looking at all the shinies (Shocking mascara, Touche Eclat foundation yadda, yadda, yadda) and the lovely lady on the counter asked if I'd like to be colour matched, I thought 'what they hay' why not, so I did :) Before I knew it I'd handed over my card and paid for it (very good sales person!). So here's my pics, and as usual, my thoughts about it at the bottom :)
My Thoughts
This is swiftly becoming my favourite foundation, yes you heard it, it pains me to say it, but I do prefer it to my Ginvera BB Cream AND my Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua foundation... I know! Crazy! I love it because;
1. It doesn't clog my pores (this is a big deal)
2. It smells good!
3. It's lightweight, doesn't feel heavy
4. Very easy to apply (I use my hands)
5. Gives a luminosity and radiance to the skin
If they're not five cracking reasons to love it, then I don't know what is! It costs £28 and for that you get 30ml of light infused goodness! Oh and there are 22 different shades, so the chances are you should be able to find one for your skin tone. Just in case you're wondering that this sounds like a sponsored post, it's not. I bought it with my own money, and these are my 100% honest opinions - you know me, when I like something, I rave about it :) This is one of those times :)
Have you tried the YSL Le Teint Touche Eclat foundation? Did you like it?
Pixi3 out
xXx
I really want to try this! Think I will when my MAC one runs out! x
ReplyDeleteI highly recommend it :)
DeleteI have always wanted to try the Touche Eclat foundation because I've heard such good reviews about it, but I'm so reluctant on parting with so much money for 1 item, as I am a bargain buyer, haha! But I do like high end products like MAC, etc. But now I may have to go out and try it and maybe, just maybe I might fall in love with it!

Hehe sometimes it's worth paying a little extra because you do often get what you pay for :) Saying that there's so many cheap products that are as good, sometimes better than the high end stuff :) Definitely get colour matched, my colour looks too dark in the bottle, but when I put it on it's perfect :)
DeleteBeen dying to get my hands on this foundation and was going to order it whilst Debenhams had their current offers on but i'm so clueless as to what shade i am. Think i need to head into store and get matched up :)
ReplyDeleteJust stumbled across your blog through the #bbloggers #bbloghop and i'm your newest follower :) hope you'll stop by and take a wander through mine too :D

Thanks for subscribing :) I'll check out your blog now :) Yeah definitely get colour matched - I was saying to the last comment that my colour looks too dark in the bottle, but actually it's perfect when I put it on :) I'd really recommend it :)
DeleteHi Georgina, I have a bit of a pore problem so I need at least a medium coverage. I'm pleased to hear it doesn't clog pores but what is the coverage?
ReplyDeleteHi Elaine :) The coverage is light to medium. You'll get more coverage than the Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua, but less than Double Wear - in my opinion it's a really nice level of coverage. If you have an little red marks, or red squiggles (burst blood vessles) it'll cover them really nicely. It's also very buildable and works really well with liquid concealer should you need it :) hope that helps xxx
Deletelol, yes, I have red squiggles! I think I'll give it a go xx
Deletehehe, me too :p
DeleteI love when the sales person is nice, you walk out with a smile on your face after making a good purchase, haha.
ReplyDeleteI'm dying to get this foundation! Though it's not spf?
